Being a former fat kid it was no problem getting up and eating candy till lunch then heading to Wendy’s for a “triple greasy” followed by a dinner at some resturaunt where I would order more deerp fried madness. After watching people like Hulk Hogan tearing off his shirt and NFL stars I began to idolize them. So I put down the playstation controller and my cheesy poofs and put a helmet and shoulder pads on.
Playing foorball in high school was probly one of the most memorable moments of my life. It all came to a sudden end though when Senior year came and we lost by one point in our last game that could of easily led us to a state title. So I decided to pick up the cheeseburger again and for the next two years it was frozen pizza and playing Madden football.
One night while I was laying in bed after eating myself stupid I began feeling chest pains. I was 19 years old and feeling like I was going to have a heart attack. Thats when I decided I needed to get my butt back in the gym. The next 6 months I trained hard and ate what I thought was ok and didnt really get anywhere. There was this personal trainer at the gym telling me to seek his help but I thought “I been lifting since 8th grade I dont need him.” Heoffered me a free training session and free advice on getting to my goal.
Getting a personal trainer was the best decision I ever made. I learned the right foods to eat and how my body worked on having a faster metabolism by eating more often. I kept a journal of the food I ate and workouts I did to be accountable. Before I knew it this transformation began to take place. I started at 30% bodyfat weighing 240 lbs w only 145 lbs of lean body mass. Now 5 years later Im at 10% bodyfat I weigh 220 lbs and have 200 lbs of lean body mass.
Truly floored and sooo inspired I decided a few years ago Id become a personal trainer. Its been a blast and helping others is my true calling in life. Now I spend my nights working as a conductor for the railroad, I am finishing school up and do personal training for the sole desire to inspire others. Anything is possible and with the guidence of a coach getting from point a to point b can be a much more rewarding journey.
